A UK trained and registered Nurse specialising in Gynaecology, Gynaecological Oncology and Women's Health

ABOUT ME

Offering the care you need

Michelle is a UK trained registered nurse qualifying in 2013. She is a member of the Royal College of Nursing, and carried out her nursing training at Guys and St Thomas Foundation Trust. Here, she had a placement within gynaecology, and it was here that her passion for women’s health began.

Once Michelle qualified as a fully fledged registered nurse, she worked on the Gynaecology ward for 4 years, caring for a wide range of patients from those in early pregnancy, to emergency Gynaecology and pre/post-surgical cases for women with both benign and oncological gynaecological conditions. Her passion for women’s health continued when Michelle stepped into a Clinical Nurse Specialist role within Gynaecology Oncology, where over the last 7 years she has developed her knowledge and skills, and has become highly experienced in working with women who are undergoing diagnostics, a range of anti-cancer treatment and follow up for gynaecological malignancies. She has worked alongside Mr Sayasneh since 2015, and shares the same interest and passion in improving women’s wellbeing.

Michelle has continued her professional development since qualifying, by studying across the London University hospitals, achieving degree level qualifications in both a general Gynaecology Nursing and Gynaecology Cancer Care Nursing. She has also completed an academic piece of work, received a professional award and is accredited as a ‘Nightingale Nurse’, and has completed a Level 2 advanced communication skills training course.

Over the course of her current employment, Michelle has gained a specialist interest in Psychosexual Medicine, and is currently working towards her Psychosexual Diploma which she aims to have completed by summer 2025. Within this, she is developing an in-depth understanding of psychosexual concerns that women may be experiencing including; vaginismus, vulvodynia, pain during intercourse, low libido or sexual desire.  This has further developed her knowledge and given her the specialist skillset required to being able to support women with multiple gynaecological and psychosexual health concerns.

In 2024, Michelle has pursued further training via an aesthetic approach to women’s wellbeing and has attended the Inmode workshop. This focused on non-invasive radio frequency treatments, with the aim to improve quality of life and self-confidence for women suffering with concerns such as urinary incontinence and vaginal symptoms.

In 2023 Michelle was nominated by a patient and received a ‘Nurse Hero award’ in the care category for an individual who clearly improves care and services.

Michelle is dedicated to her work as a Nurse Specialist, and has a focus on service development and improvement as well as caring for patients. This is reflected in her patient centred approach and continuation to show kindness, care and compassion to all of her patients upon their first meeting, right through to the aftercare given once treatment is completed.
