Additionally, he completed colposcopy training and was accredited as a colposcopist by the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. In 2015 he obtained his Doctorate of Medicine MD(Res) degree in gynaecological ultrasonography from Imperial College London.

Since 2015, Mr Sayasneh has practised as a Consultant Gynaecology and Gynaecological Oncology Surgeon at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest hospital trusts in the country with a global reputation for clinical excellence. Here he has introduced new surgical procedures, including ultra-radical peritonectomy techniques for advanced ovarian cancer and advanced laparoscopic radical surgeries for cervical cancer. He runs a rapid access clinic for ovarian masses, which diagnoses and triages patients into the optimal treatment pathways, effectively reducing the waiting lists for diagnosis.

His specialist interest lies in the screening, diagnosis, and management of ovarian cancer, and he has published numerous peer-reviewed studies in this field. Mr Sayasneh has chaired numerous events and sessions on the characterization of ovarian masses, both in the UK and abroad as well as chairing conference sessions in gynaecological oncology more widely.
He is a regular peer reviewer for scientific journals such as the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics and the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has also published chapters in books such as Essentials in Gynaecological Ultrasonography and Applied Surgical Grey’s Anatomy Atlas.
